The primary purpose of the .FIT top-level domain is to provide meaningful web addresses for fitness studios, independent fitness instructors, and other participants in fitness and the fitness industry.

The .FIT domain will result in a more affordable and meaningful web addresses for fitness studios--resulting in increased visibility for fitness overall on the world wide web.

We are confident that the .FIT domain will encourage fitness and health education. The last 20 years has seen a steady increase in obesity rates in the United States and abroad.
